Well, I guess it all has to end sometime, and that happened to my vacation. Wednesday noon came, and it was time to say goodbye to Groningen. We headed back to Schipol so that we could get back to the US before the long Memorial Day weekend, because like gay men everywhere, we had plans!
We had thought about going back into Amsterdam, but when we got to Schipol, we changed our minds, checked into the hotel, then did some serious exploration of the airport. I think what I liked most about Schipol is its urinals. They have a little fly painted on the porcelain, just about where you want to aim. This is usability and design at the cutting edge. Who da thought how much fun it is to aim at that little fly and pee? Le Petit Julien, maybe you should visit Schipol? |
